Calor Gas Village of the Year

Thank you to all who contributed/attended and supported the presentation to the judges of the Calor Gas Village of the Year Competition, on Monday 8th September.

Feedback was very positive, and we should have a result by the end of October.

Once again a big thank you to young and old alike for everything you did for your village.

Every New Years day there is a tug of war between two rival teams from the Fron, all good fun of course!!!  All the money raised from the event goes to the local primary school.  Best part is the warming up in the pub after the event !!!!  Photos here......

During Christmas 2007 two Christmas trees were erected either side of the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct at Trevor basin and The Fron community centre, see some photographs from the Fron Christmas event here......

The local primary school was built in 1863. It is supported by the community and surrounding area. It is a small school where children and staff get to know each other very well.

Froncysyllte school is a caring school offering children a natural stepping stone from life at home through to life at secondary school.......
